Evan Mosely and the Plane Prophecy:

A number of people have written into our website or through Facebook Messenger asking about Evan Mosely's testimony concerning William Branham's failed revival prophecy, as well as more details about William Branham's prophecy of one last "tent revival". A new research page has been added to assist those who are studying the fundamental issues surrounding Branham's final year on earth:

Shortly before his death in 1965, William Branham "prophesied" that he would have another great tent revival in the style of the 1940's and 1950's revivalist tours which launched his career. His sudden death brought an immediate contradiction to the "prophetic" claim, however, leaving his following divided as to how one should interpret this "prophecy". As a result, some cult leaders began to claim that William Branham would rise from his pyramid grave to fulfill this and other unfulfilled "prophecies".

At the time of his funeral, the idea of Branham's resurrection was popular among many of his following. So much, in fact, that the Associated Press ran a story about the strange and unusual situation across several newspapers in the United States. Headlines described the scene in Jeffersonville, IN, as more than 700 people came to pay their respects to the deceased Branham and see what would happen after his body lowered into the grave: "Ressurection Awaited - Faith Founder is Buried Four Months After Death".

Leaders of the two churches which William Branham considered his "home church" both propagated the resurrection via the news media. Both Rev. Peary Green and Rev. Willard Collins voiced their belief that Branham would, in fact, rise from the grave to complete the ministry rendered incomplete by his death:

Although I am not personally acquainted with [those who are looking for William Branham to rise from the grave, I] believe the Rev. Branham will return to life.
-Peary Green, The Fresno Bee, April 11, 1966

Rev. Willard Collins told reporters that he was among those who were looking for William Branham to rise from the grave because Branham "had a halo over his head" (source: Kane Republican, April 14, 1966) This is a view Collins and many of Branham's followers around the world continue to maintain, raising the curiosity of citizens of Jeffersonville who witness the yearly pilgrimage that has continued since the Easter burial in 1966. Adam Walser, investigative reporter for Louisville KY's WHAS News interviewed Collins as well as both Jeffersonville citizens and "Message" pilgrims in Easter of 2012:

This cemetery in Jeffersonville is where Branham was finally buried, but many of his followers don't expect him to stay inside the grave. People come from all over the world at Easter, anticipating that Branham will rise up to foretell the second coming of Christ.
-Adam Walser, WHAS11 News

Within Branham's following, the belief of William Branham's resurrection prior to the Christian Resurrection of the Dead is strengthened by the details of the "prophecy" William Branham communicated to key individuals. Preparing for one last tour as a tent revivalist, William Branham made arrangements for travel, flight, securing the tent, and more. One person William Branham asked to help prepare for the upcoming fulfilment of "prophecy" was Evan Mosely, who believed until his death that he would be flying William Branham around the world for the tent revival.

He was very serious, and he said that we would know what to find and that he would cover all costs. Then he detailed his plan to hold meetings for two weeks, and then, while the tent was being moved, he would be with some other brothers in the wilderness to fish and hunt. We would go all over the world. Brother Branham did not say that the Lord had shown him anything, but I know he had made a promise not to fly or to have anything to do with a plane unless it was that way the Lord spoke. Prophets keep their promises. When Brother Branham disappeared from the scene, I could not understand why he would have asked us to take care of a plane, and told us what we would do, and then suddenly he was gone. I was upset and I began to pray and seek the Lord.
-Evan Mosely

As instructed by Branham, Mosely purchased a DC-7C with a plush "VIP interior" to fly Branham around the world, and for years it sat at a Goodyear airfield in Phoenix, AZ. Its tail number is N777EA, registered to Mosely's company Pyramid Oil Company The plan is an ex-KLM airplane (PH-DSR "Barentz Zee").

As the men William Branham confided in with the "secret details" for his upcoming tent revival tour also go to their graves, the idea that William Branham will rise from his pyramid grave appears to be losing popularity among his "Message" following. A majority of cult leaders now reject this notion, blaming former cult leaders who they argue were "misguided" or "misunderstood" Branham's great level of detail in his instructions for the upcoming fulfilment of "prophecy".

Evan Mosley's Testimony
...

I was 14 years old, and I went with my family to Brother Outlaw's congregation, when Brother Branham came to the Phoenix area in 1947. For me, he had such an imposing attitude, and when he asked the audience for their bowing heads while he prayed for the people, believe me, I bowed my head. He preached a kind of evangelistic service, healing and salvation, but there was something about him that made you know that he was the greatest man of God that you could ever come into contact with. He gave me awe. I do not find any other words for it.

After these meetings, I heard nothing more than Brother Branham for more than ten years.

Between 1958 and 1959, a man from Ireland came to Brother Outlaw's church. His name was Gordon Magee. He thought that for the end time, the ministry of Elijah would return the prophet. Tillie, my wife, and I started praying. We knew we were in the end times, so where was that prophet? And while we prayed for it, a friend had asked me to store a pack of tape recordings of Brother Branham's preaching in my brother Alan's house. He began to listen to it, and then he gave me a few. When we heard two or three of them, both Tillie and I said that this was what we were looking for and for which we had prayed. So we arrived at the order list, and we were regularly sent the tape recordings. That was 1960.

The message that Brother Branham brought was simply revolutionary. It was an eye opener. When that discernment began, no one could stand before him and mislead him. They could not oblige him nor hide anything from him. I saw his position in Scripture, and it was so formidable. The revelations Brother Branham made in messages like "The anointed ones of the end times , " "Marriage and divorce," and so far, were, "So speaks the Lord." A few were huge bombs for us.

It changed our thinking and our understanding. It opened our eyes to the things that would happen here in the end times, and for the Rapture. My revelation is that Brother Branham taught us a message, but unless I take the message and enter the Holy Spirit and anoint that Word for me, it's just a teaching. The Holy Spirit watered it and brought the Message in me to life. That is the Sign for me.

We were with five brothers, but only four of us: Jim, Alan, Robert and myself, followed the Message. We had a crop pollination business. The first time that we personally met Brother Branham was in 1962, and that was when we tried to give him a plane. He did not want to accept it. He said he had made a promise that he would never fly or have anything to do with a plane unless it was that way the Lord spoke. I never reached that subject again unless he addressed it himself.

I felt like I had asked a prophet to break a promise. I did not want to do that. But later, when he asked us to take a plane, it was through him. Then we were not the ones who tried to do it.

From then on, until Brother Branham left the stage, I was fortunate enough to be with him during various events. It was once during a hunting expedition at the end of 1964, an elk hunt with Brother Tony Stromei and Brother Billy Paul, at the Indian sanctuary San Carlos in Arizona. We heard that he was there and we decided to visit him because we were so worried about our mother. It was she who wrote the letter to Brother Carl Williams, to reprimand Brother Branham. He spoke about it in the message "And they do not know it." When we heard that tape, we knew it was our mother, and we were also very concerned about it. She was old Pentecost, and their basic understanding was that speaking in tongues was evidence of the Holy Spirit. She believed in water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (they had that right), but she thought Brother Branham would tear the Pentecostal doctrine into pieces. She wrote a letter to Carl Williams, and he showed this letter to Brother Branham. Alan, Robert and I found him on the reservation, and we stayed with him for a few days. Brother Branham was not really hunting, because the Lord had shown him that no elk was to be found there. If it got cold, they'd normally come down from the higher area, but it was not cold enough to get them down, so we just stayed around the camp.

After we talked to him about my mother, he said, "Do not worry about that." He told us how our parents were saved on the Pentecostal branch, and they can not get rid of that branch to come to the new branch. That would be new wine in old bags. They lived and suffered the accusations of their day and they can not get rid of this today. He said, "Someday I will come to you, I will grasp her spirit, and everything will be all right." So he reassured our hearts, and we did not worry about her anymore. Just sit around the campfire with him. We were so impressed with him and had such a respect for him, I would not even interrupt him for a question. He had so many interesting stories to tell about miraculous healings that he fascinated us. Looking back at this, I think he kept his thoughts busy, so that the visions would not come. He went there, you know, to try to rest from the visions and things. He told us how Welch Evans, when they went fishing, was bitten by a snake and how the Lord Brother Evans had healed and they did not even have to take him to the hospital. Then he pulled up his trouser leg and his ankle was black and blue. He had really agitated him, there in Kaibab. He was stumbling. He said, "Here I have been walking around for two or three weeks now with that ankle. The gift was for the people, not for myself. We heard that Brother Branham talked to someone about having a sand dune buggy. In the beginning of 1965 we bought him a jeep. Alan, Robert and I found a small jeep. It was one that someone had completely dismantled and completely rebuilt. He had placed a Chevy Corvette engine in it and an overdrive. It was too much of a good thing. We had lost our brother Jim in a plane crash in 1964, and his widow wanted to help with the purchase of the vehicle, so we bought the jeep and brought it to Brother Branham. First we went to Brother Billy Paul and said it was for Brother Branham. He crawled into the jeep and we followed him to Brother Branham's house. When Brother Branham came out he said, "No, I can not accept this." Well, we told him that we had not brought him here to take him home again, and with that! He went to his break to get his checkbook on the dashboard and said, "Let me write you a check for it." We told him we would not accept a check. Brother Branham was exactly in the position, really upright, and he said, "All right, you did this for me, what can I do for you now?" Alan spoke and said, "Well, Brother Branham, when you got your tent. , and you want to start with that tent service, then we would like to help you with that. " Brother Branham paused, said, "Whatever you do, when that tent comes, you'll be there." That's what he said. "Let me write you a check for it". We told him we would not accept a check. Brother Branham was exactly in the position, really upright, and he said, "All right, you did this for me, what can I do for you now?" " Brother Branham paused, said, "Whatever you do, when that tent comes, you'll be there." That's what he said.

He always made you feel like you were the most important, and that he was privileged and honored to be in your company. He had that ability. It was not hyped, it was real.

He also had a formidable sense of humor. A few months after we gave him the jeep, he spoke at the VEZL Conference at the Ramada Inn in Phoenix. I met him in the hall for breakfast and he told me how he loved the jeep. He said: "I drove him to 150km / h." You know how he always went against Brother Billy Paul in connection with fast driving. A while later we were eating, and Brother Branham was sitting at the table a few more chairs. I leaned forward and said, "Hey, Brother Branham, how quickly did you say that jeep would go?" He looked up very quickly to see if Brother Billy Paul, who was sitting with him, had heard me, and he placed his finger. to his lips and said, "Shhh." He did not want Brother Billy Paul to know that he had raised him to 150 km / h.

Brother Branham never lost sight of his purpose, and he was 100% devoted to the Message. When he took it easy, he started joking with his friends and his company, but when it came to the Word, there was no iota or compromise. The word compromise was not in his nature. We respected Brother Branham for that.

When we went with Brother Branham on the Sunset mountain, it was around 10:30 in the evening, and he held the fire. He had sideburns of two or three days, soot on his hands, and an old felt hat on his head. I remember that I stood there, looking at him, and in my heart I said a small thanksgiving prayer for that little humble man who was busy with the fire, while I was aware of his enormous responsibility and concern. Brother Branham paid a great price to bring us that message. He certainly did. It took him all his life.

In the spring of 1965, he went with Alan another brother on lion hunting in Utah. By the time they returned, our wives in Alan's house had prepared a 'what the pot-fetched dinner'. After dinner, Brother Branham went to the truck, and he asked us to give him a plane.

He was very serious, and he said that we would know what to find, and that he would cover all costs. Then he detailed his plan to hold meetings for two weeks, and then, while the tent was being moved, he would be with some other brothers in the wilderness to fish and hunt. Prophets keep their promises.

I believe Brother Branham will have the tent; he will have the third pull, and it will all be as he has said. My whole life now revolves around it, and I become stronger as the days go by.

For me, apart from Jesus Christ, William Branham is the greatest man who has ever walked around on earth. He paid a great price to bring us that Message, and I believe that God was very proud of His servant.
