Cult Leaders Misrepresenting Facts To Stall the Exodus:

"Message" cult leaders have created a misleading picture that appears to be making its rounds in the social networks and private email. This morning is the third time it has been sent to me by a cult victim, unaware that the photograph is not entirely true.

In the photo, a small portion of an article from the Abbeville Press and Banner (dated January 29, 1890) is displayed next to a quote from William Branham claiming that he "prophesied" as a small child that 16 men would fall from the Municipal Bridge. The photo only displays the top portion of the single article, omitting any information that would inform readers of its actual date, and omits any other articles that might lead one to suspect that it was referring to an event that happened in 1890.

They appear to have taken the image from our website, which explains the timeline of events:

Has the cult resorted to telling lies for the sake of holding their victims?

Years after the Municipal Bridge was built in 1929, William Branham started to claim to have "prophesied." He did not "prophecy" about an event in the past; he claimed to have seen the event twenty-two years before it happened (1907). Why are cult leaders claiming that Branham was born in 1909? Are they not aware that Branham claimed to have "prophesied" two years before he was allegedly born – for an event that happened nineteen years before he was allegedly born?

Now, that's the way the gift is supposed to be working. See? Now, I want you to notice this. It wasn't my sincere prayer that brought this gift. Gifts are not brought by sincere prayers. Gifts are foreordained of God. They're ordained and sent. Here at the Municipal Bridge. Sister, no doubt you know where the Municipal Bridge is, don't you, cross from Jeffersonville to Louisville? Twenty-two years, when I was a little boy, just a little bitty lad about five years old, or six years old, when the Angel of the Lord appeared in the bush... You've heard me tell that haven't you, when I was packing water? Well, about two weeks after that, I was playing marbles with my little brother. And I thought I'd got sick, some real funny feeling came on me. And I went and set down by the side of a tree. And I looked down at the river, and there went a bridge, a big, great big bridge going across the river. And I counted sixteen men that fell off of that bridge and drowned. And I went and told mother. And I told her I seen it. And they thought I was crazy or something. They thought I was just at a little nervous hysterical child. And twenty-two years from that time, on the same ground went the Municipal Bridge across, and sixteen men lost their lives on it. See? Wasn't nothing that... It's-it's God sent it. Your prayers brought it. See? 48-0302 EXPERIENCES
