Why is Voice of God Recordings now claiming that evangelist William Branham was "Jesus Christ?"

Recently, we published little-known information concerning William Branham's first and second attempts at creating a religious cult after being introduced to the "ministry" by Ku Klux Klan leader Roy E. Davis. Cult victims and escapees alike were shocked to learn that the "Message" as they knew it came relatively late in Branham's life, while two other attempts at creating a following have been concealed for years.

According to a 1945 publication by William Branham, his first "healing ministry" began in 1937. The climax of that ministry, according to Branham, was the loss of his "gift of healing." In that publication, it described his second attempt at a ministry, which he claimed to be the result of a vision of "white robed people". (No Klan pun intended, this was Branham's own description). It was not until 1947 when Branham introduced "angelic visitations," "prophecies," and "supernatural events" to his "life story."

When people are recruited into the "Message" cult, few are told about the climax of Branham's third attempt at establishing a religious cult. After fully convincing his followers that he was both a "prophet" and the "return of Elijah," Branham claimed that he was the return of Jesus Christ.

"The Elijah of this day is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is to come according to Matthew the seventeen-... Luke 17:30, says the Son of man is to reveal Himself among His people. Not a man, God! But it'll come through a prophet."
- William Branham, 65-1127B - Trying To Do God A Service

Why does Voice of God Recordings only advertise William Branham's third attempt at starting a ministry? Why not the first or the second? And why do they promote him as the "return of Jesus Christ?"

Apparently, their efforts are starting to produce results. Researchers are sending us photographs of advertisements overseas declaring William Branham to be "God." We are also receiving photographs of cult victims overseas bowing down to William Branham to worship, and cult leaders using a photograph of William Branham as an idol.

How long has Voice of God Recordings claimed that William Branham was "Jesus Christ?" How many of his followers worship the dead "prophet?"

Why are new recruits never told that they will be required to worship the "Elijah god?"
