Roy E. Davis - 1961 Dallas News:

Last year we began publishing information concerning the involvement between key figures in William Branham's ministry and the Ku Klux Klan. This led to a significant amount of questions and feedback from both former and current followers of William Branham's "Message," especially those in other countries who are unfamiliar with the Klan. To learn that Branham associated with men in a secret society who became established as a homeland terrorist organization is quite shocking. Any who missed the blog posts can find them on our "Blog" page of The first blog post can be found here:

Weeks later, we are still receiving comments and feedback. Yesterday, we received two key newspaper articles from a researcher looking into Roy Davis' involvement in the John F. Kennedy assassination. To our surprise, one of these newspaper articles has a photograph of Davis, providing even stronger confirmation of our research. Evidently, in 1961, the Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan allowed a newspaper interview.

In February 11, 1961, the Dallas Morning News published the interview. According to the reporter, Roy E. Davis was the target of curiosity after having been tied to a cross-burning in the lawn of Congressman Overton Brooks. When the Shreveport Times published a front-page article tying Davis to the terrorist act, the Dallas newspaper reporters confronted the 71-year-old minister.

The newspaper also questioned Davis on the hot topic of the hour: integration of African Americans and Whites. In statements to the Dallas news, Davis said the Klan would use "ever legal means in [their]power to oppose school integration in Dallas."
