No Strings Attached!:
In a recent Public Relations Campaign, Voice of God Recordings started advertising in newspapers printed for prisons in the United States legal system. This recent advertisement was ran in "Prison Legal News" Volume 26 No 6 printed June 2015.
But while other Christian missionary organizations advertise the grace and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to inmates, offering free bibles and even biblical counseling, Voice of God Recordings chose a different pathway. Any prison inmate interested can receive a free copy of the book "Seven Church Ages," offered to them, "totally free, no strings attached." The advertisement assures the prisoner that they will not be tracked, and there will be no shipping cost.
In a way, I'm glad that they chose this particular book for their advertisement. In the pages of the Church Age Book, Branham claims under "divine inspiration" that 1977 will terminate the world systems and usher in the millennium. This is the primary reason many of the cult churches are starting to adopt the idea that we are now living in the "millennium."
"So I repeat, I sincerely believe and maintain as a private student of the Word, along with Divine inspiration that 1977 ought to terminate the world systems and usher in the millennium."
Branham, An Exposition Of The Seven Church Ages
It could be viewed as offensive for Voice of God Recordings to believe that prison inmates would be foolish enough to believe that we are now living in the millennium -- given their current state of affairs. But I view it as powerful for our cause. When a normal (not programmed) Christian missionary enters the prison and shares the true Gospel of Grace that is found in the Bible,
and the inmates are given a physical Bible that includes the Old and New Testaments, there is little chance of their being trapped inside a doomsday cult. This advertisement might have worked in
1975 or 1976, but 2015 is a little late for failed prophecy.
So instead, they can reflect on how different a religious cult is from true
Christianity while reading their brand-new bible given to them by a Christian missionary. Then after serving time and starting a new life, they to can
tell others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
