The Squeeze

John Collins02/27/2013Video available here: http://youtu.be/Ct74DMRD6fc

There are two certainties with religious cults: Death and politics. While mainstream churches are founded on the Bible, religious cults seem to thrive on the thoughts of political unrest that leads to death.

These cult leaders use the fear of death and the certainty of political unrest in the world to bind you with a chain that you become comfortable in wearing. You know the chain is attached to your leg, and you can move freely to a certain point, but then a major political event tightens the chain to bring you back.

It all seems to start based on scripture, followed by signs and wonders, and then strategically the political unrest is incorporated into the ministry to instill fear into the hearts of the people. It is almost as if these cult leaders are cooperating together to plan strategy – they are all so similar! Could it be that another power is guiding them in the same direction?

Reverend James Jones was a Pentecostal preacher with the same fire-and-brimstone style that William Branham used to capture an audience. In 1978, 914 of Jones’ members in Jonestown, Guyana, and five individuals at a nearby airstrip committed mass suicide. Over 200 children were murdered at Jonestown, almost all of them by cyanide poisoning. I do not believe there is any need to ask you if there is any danger in a religious cult, these numbers speak for themselves.

Jim Jones and William Branham worked hand-in-hand during healing campaign meetings, and Branham helped to kick-start Jones ministry at the Cadle Tabernacle in Indianapolis, IN. They both had the “gifts” of healing and what they called “discernment” – which the Bible calls divination.

Listen to this exchange between Rev. Jim Jones and a person in the prayer lines, Jones telling the man the “secrets of his heart.”

Jones: Do you know a Gertrude Mitchell? (Pause)

Woman 1: Yes, I do. (unintelligible as Jones speaks over her)

Jones: She had a— she had a cancer of the throat.

Woman 1: Yes. She—

Jones: She had a patient she dealt with who had a cancer of the throat.

Woman 1: Yes.

Jones: This entire family died of cancer.

Woman 1: Yes. She’s— she’s my aunt. My husband’s aunt.

Jones: You— Yes, I know. This person was in the hospital three days before he died. He asked [for] candy from Gertrude.

Woman 1: Oh, yes.

Jones: She went and got some and returned and found him dead.

Woman 1: Yes.

Jones: I want to give you the faith that you could have. Eight years ago, you were s— paralyzed by stroke and you have had that condition—

Woman 1: Yes, yes—

Jones: I want you to live on it, eight long years ago. I know nothing of your life.

Woman 1: No.

Jones: You’ve lived in Los Angeles for 26 years.

Woman 1: Yes, I have.

Jones: You were born in Minden, Louisiana—

Woman 1: That’s right, Father—

Jones: Thirty miles on the other side of Shreveport.

Woman 1: Yes, yes.

Jones: You— You have no children.

Woman 1: No.

Jones: Your husband [is] a foreman in the shipyards at San Pablo, and have worked there for 25 years. Yes, yes.

Woman 1: San Pedro. Yes, yes, yes, Father.

Jones: Hmm. He has two hundred and two people working under him, or had— name is Cliff or something like that, I think, they called him on the job.

Woman 1: Yes. Yes. Thank you, Father.

Jones: Now, my child, I’ve given you this. You’ve had— You got trouble in your own throat. You’re unable to walk with this stroke. I want you now— (Enthusiastic) I want you now to bolt out of there. Bolt out there. Go! Go! Spirit! Spirit of God! Go go go go go go go go go go go go go go go go Spirit. Go! The Spirit of God. Spirit of God.

This is the same thing that
William Branham did! I thought that only Branham could do this trick!

I know what’s going through your minds right now. The “programmed response.” This is like Jannes and Jambres withstanding Moses. But I’m going to submit something different to you.

Moses did not practice divination. Could one be Jannes and the other man Jambres? Could the whole lot of these religious cult leaders be under the same spirit as these two men that had the powers against Moses but not the True Annointing? Could they be like Balaam, who Branham said had the “same anointing as Moses?”

Jones enticed the people with his ‘signs and wonders,’ and strangely these signs and wonders are exactly the same ones that William Branham used to build his own cult. But once the people were bound by that chain, the political unrest started moving into the doctrine.

Let’s compare the words of Jim Jones in transcript 194 to William Branham:

Jim Jones:

China says that nuclear war is as certain as the setting of the sun. , and they’re trying to drag USA into it. And State Department Secretary [Cyrus] Vance said that the big powers are now all involved in the conflict, but did not elaborate. It’s been China’s policy for years that nuclear war was going to take place, sooner or later, and it is now evident that China is trying to provoke that nuclear war, because she stands to have more people survive it in the northern hemisphere than any other nation. The United States will completely wiped out, no one will be left alive worth living at all. They feel that the Soviet Union has much less population, and that China has a billion population, that they lose one half, they’ll still have 500 million, more than the USA and USSR’s combined population today.

William Branham:

Listen friend, there isn't a thing, this very hour, in the next twenty-five minutes or ten minutes, for Russia to send up it's satellite and sweep it over here across this nation, train it's missile, say, "Surrender, or in two minutes you'll be nothing but dust." They can do it right now. Think of it. They can do it right now. What would happen? Plane load after plane load, ship load after ship load, of ungodly communistic soldiers would swallow our lands, would grab our girls, and take them into the street and treat them like cattle, ram a sword through them, go into our homes and take our wives out and bust the babies head against the wall, and ravish our women. You say one thing, it belongs to them. You say, "Will our Pentagons surrender? Sure it would. That'd be the only sensible thing for it to do. It would have to do it. If it didn't, we'd be nothing but powder in a few minutes. We'd have maybe a few more hours of life, but what a slaughter. What? They may be loading on the planes right now. The ships may be in harbor. Soon, these things that we're talking about can be a reality. There's not one thing left for it to happen--to keep it from happening according to prophecy. Here we are. And next week, you don't know what condition you could be in. The handwriting is on the wall. We're a weighed in the balance and found wanting. 58-0309M THE.HANDWRITING.ON.THE.WALL

You see, these wolves in sheeps’ clothing are very devious minds. They know that political unrest will be rampant until the day that Jesus comes, and use that to their advantage. They can claim that there will be political unrest as “prophecy,” because they know it will be a self-fulfilled prophecy.

This tactic is the borderline fence around the “virtual compound” of the cult. William Branham called it “The Squeeze.” It would be the time of uncertainty. It would be the time that we would see bad things happen. Some would try to leave the cult, and just watch! Something major will happen, politically!

People become so focused on the conspiracy theory that the do not take a step back to look at the history of the unrest in the world – since the garden of Eden! Yes, when someone tries to leave the cult, there will be a “squeeze!” When the entire cult starts to fall, there will be political turmoil! …but what about the political unrest when all are lulled to sleep by the programming of these cult leaders? It goes by completely unnoticed!

Another tactic used is to compare the “spiritual bliss” on the “inside” to the political unrest of the “outside.” In transcript 217, Jones says this:

And I don’t know why people would want to leave the uh, body of socialism, when you’ve seen the miracle today of Carrie Langston falling on her head. The people heard her two cottages down, and she come out without any harm, she should have had her neck broken and she should have at least had her skull cracked and blood go into her brain and been a vegetable for life. You’ve seen the young man [Ricky Johnson] with gasoline pull through. Saw the young man couldn’t urinate for 25 hours, and I walked in, and he urinated like some giant uh, rock would come out through his penis, it’d make such a joke as it went in. You saw last night the beautiful one young girl that had septicemia and in– incurable bacterial diseases of blood – Teri Smart – now she’s beautifully healed today. You saw James Baisy who had a terrible kidney infection and was raging out of control, we had no way to get him to emergency service, you know when I went by him, his temperature went down.

This was after two men tried to leave! Of course, people could leave! They were not forced to commit mass suicide – they WILLINGLY killed themselves after being programmed to wrongly compare the evil world to their little sanctuary!

The Bible warns us that these men would come. In fact, the Bible is FULL of warnings about these men and the spirit behind them.

In 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul writes this:

Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

Listen to what Paul says here. Do not listen to these men! Until you see the “son of destruction” seated in the temple proclaiming himself to be God – ignore all of these men speaking of the end time destruction! Ignore these men talking about “The Squeeze!”

Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming.

Paul is basically saying, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING? DON’T YOU REMEMBER WHAT I TOLD YOU???” The man of lawlessness may be at work, but he is being held until the end time. There’s no “Squeeze” that is not already in God’s control!

The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Those who follow William Branham are now aware that he lied … constantly. He lied about his visions. He lied about his “spiritual events.” He lied about his money. He even lied about his own childhood! But they continue to follow this “lying teacher!” Why? Paul just told us: “God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

Jones and Branham both had the same spiritual gift: Healing and divination. They both pointed to their healing powers as “vindication” of their ministry. But Paul calls these “false signs and wonders.”

As Christians, we should ask ourselves: were we sent a strong delusion? When we learned that we were delusional, did we Seek the Truth? Or did we continue NOT to believe the truth?

Have any of you ever asked yourself the question: What would have happened to the cult followers had William Branham not been taken off the scene?
