John Collins5/8/2012 8:58:00 PMThis sermon was given before the Full Gospel Businessman's Association, the last group of people that left their doors open to WMB. He was very careful not to close that door, and his sermons given to that association stayed very close to the Bible and very close to the combined beliefs of the members of the association.

The first section is interesting, however:
Certainly a privilege to be here this morning, on this birthday of the Full Gospel Business Men's chapter here at Phoenix, and to know that the Lord granted me a little part of it, to be part of this fellowship. I want to greet Brother Carl Williams and his wife, Brother Stromei, the rest here at the platform, Brother Shores, Brother Outlaw, the ministers, and all you fine people.
You know, I--I had a birthday last week, too. And I'm just a teeny bit older than a chapter. I believe he said, "Five and... years old, for the chapter."
Somebody said, other day, said, "How old are you, Brother Branham?"
I said "Twenty-six." And I said, "I wiped out the first twenty-five years. I didn't serve Him so well in them." I said, "I hope He does, too." To get Him to do it will be different.

When you consider the fact that WMB was not truthful about his birthdate in his retellings of his life's story, it is no wonder that he would not be forthright about his age or birthdate. His marriage certificate written in his own handwriting claimed 1908, yet he wanted to appear to have been born under an astrological event, which he claimed to have been 1909.

But it is slightly deeper than that. He says, "I wiped out the first twenty-five years." This is a very true statement, since NONE of his accounts of the first twenty-five years match! Considering that the name he gave the Associated Press in 1947 was 'Henry', there are some very good questions that can be raised.

Preaching in front of the Gospel Businessman's Association, WMB's force and drive for HIS message is calmed to a message that is more Biblical:
Jesus said that. "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature." How far? "All the world." Who to? "Every creature." They've never received It yet. "And these signs shall follow them that believe." How long? "All the world."

Remember in the few sermons before back home in Jeffersonville, it was the Message that was given to the Prophet that must be spread to all the nations, not the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Oddly, he condemns the 'other message' with his next statement:
Paul is ordaining these gifts into the Church, thirty years later. And said, in Galatians 1:8, "If an Angel from Heaven preaches to you any other Gospel than This which is already received," see, already been preached, "let him be accursed."

WMB then places a strange twist on Jesus Christ with his non-scriptural view of 'sin is unbelief':
Watch the action of those disciples, a scared. They knowed Jesus was the Truth, but, you see, It was against the popular idea, the popular religion of the hour, the most strictest religion, Sar-... Pharisees, Sadducees, and so forth, their cults, clans, and denominations. They were--they were against That, "Heresy." But Jesus was the identified Word.
And Jesus is the Holy Ghost, in Spirit. "A little while and the world seeth Me no more. You shall see Me," not the body; the Life that was in Him. God is upon the Church, to call sons like He did then, obedient.
"I always do that which is pleasing to My Father. Which one of you can accuse Me of Sin?" Other words, sin is "unbelief." "What has the Word said about Me, that I haven't done?" There it is. "Show Me what the Word said that I'd do, that I didn't do. Which one can accuse Me? Which one can lay your fingers on Me, and say that I haven't fulfilled My Father's Word?" Oh, when the Pentecostal church gets to that spot! "Who can accuse Me of unbelief?"

Jesus came to earth, God's only begotten Son, to live a perfect life for us. Through His perfect life, free from sin, He alone could die FOR our sins. He was our sacrifice.

Every man is born into sin, and that sin INCLUDES unbelief. Not vice-versa. Sin includes a wide variety of other disgrace, unbelief being the ultimate problem -- faith in Jesus Christ is our salvation.

WMB taught that women could have 'accidental adultery' by a man looking upon them to lust. Those women might still believe, and did not sin.

He then pulls a political punch, in a non-scriptural account of Elijah:
Look at Elijah, after his work was finished on earth. He was so full of that quickening power, he condemned them Jackie Kennedy haircuts in his day. He had told old Jezebel what he thought of her. He told them preachers and priests what was right and wrong, and they didn't believe him. But he condemned them painted-faced women and things, so bad. And he so full of that quickening power till nothing could harm him. God had fed him from the heavens, took him out and set him aside. He was so full of quickening power, come time to die, the Jordan opened up, and he just walked, sent down a chariot and took him up Home, so full of that quickening power. He become a true, genuine son of God. Yeah.

Elijah did not condemn Jezebel for her appearance, he condemned her because she was spreading idolatry. WMB tried to prove through Jezebel that makeup was 'of the devil', but forgot about Esther in the Bible who used cosmetics to make herself beautiful. Not only is there no scripture to support Elijah condemning Jezebel for her paint, there is no scripture to support saying that he condemned Jezebel for her 'short hair', or even that says that she did in fact have 'short hair.'

WMB then elevates himself to the level of Christ:
"As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the coming of the Son of man. They were eating, drinking, marrying, given in marrying. And as it was in the days of Lot, so will it be in the hours that the Son of man will be revealed on earth," not Son of God, no more. "Son of man," come back as the prophetic Message for the last day when that eagle will be flying; not the lion; not the ox in the sacrifice age. See?
Every time, a religious power went forth to meet the challenge of the political power of the world. When the lion raised up, the religious power, it went to meet the Roman power.

Christ does not return as a 'message', Christ returns as Christ.

And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. (Luke 21)
(And no, this is not the 'spiritual cloud' that WMB claimed, it has been proven in this forum that he fabricated that event.)

We are actually warned of this very statement made by WMB in the book of Luke. Jesus warns us, "See that you are not led astray. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he!' and, 'The time is at hand!' Do not go after them." (Luke 21:8)
